UCDSU marriage equality referendum to meet quorum

A spokesperson for UCD Students’ Union has confirmed that the marriage equality policy referendum has reached the quorum necessary for its outcome to be binding. The referendum needed a minimum voter turnout of 2,302, 10% of the Union’s membership, to reach the quorum dictated by the Union’s constitution.

The constitutional referendum is expected to reach quorum once the votes have been tallied. Voting for all faculties is open in the Newman building until 9pm this evening.
