UCD Sport has announced the reopening of the campus tennis courts following “significant refurbishment” over the past weeks. In a statement sent to the University Observer, Brian Mullins, Director of Sport, said “I’m pleased to have them open again. It allows us to welcome back our tennis clubs and as the courts are also available for public use they encourage the wider community onto the campus”.
The statement adds that “The tennis courts have been refurbished to an excellent standard, the sand filled synthetic grass surface is of medium pace which will appeal to players of all levels.”
The courts are open for use for all UCD students and staff, as well as the general public, and bookings can be made on 01 716 3839/3821 or at ucd.ie/sport/facilities/tenniscourts/.
