have you even watched this show?

the contestants on the show have usually tried every kind of diet and have been extremely overweight most -if not all- of their lives. they arrive on 5 or 6 medications and leave taking none. some have had their jaws wired shut, or gastric bypass surgery in an effort to lose weight.

people get voted off but keep competing for the at-home prize, because it shows you don't need personal trainers and a tv crew to help you lose weight. people often lose over a hundred pounds after being on the ranch and gaining the confidence and self worth to realize what they are capable of.

they leave with the knowledge of how to live a healthy life and be happy, and how to balance exercise, nutrition, work and family.

this show is a guidebook, not a mockery.

you should watch it sometime
