in reference to sinead "What kind of person gets a elected and uses a rubber duck in his campaign speeches?"

i believe the USI used rubber ducks as part of there protests a number of years back,
paddy was highlighting the success of that particular campaign.

i dont see a problem in highlighting a successfull campaign in a speech.

clearly you have a problem with paddy and not how he performs his job

well said seamus btw!

Ah now I don't think a year as a campaigns officer is going to be that much use as a Chemical Engineer. In fairness the year hasn't been perfect, but there's a terrible twosome running that corridor and its turned into a nasty place, which is pretty stupid as its done in Gary's ambition to add yet another line to his cv in USI next year.

Anyway, imo the most important thing for the campaigns officer is getting the class reps going, and its a way more diverse bunch than any time in the past and that's not by chance. Paddy's lots of friends who wouldn't be traditional SU types who are getting involved which can only be a good thing. At least he hasn't spent half the union wage budget paying his friends to be on staff, who seem to spend half their time making sure that papers know what's happening before the people concerned do.

In response to sinead's comment I think your wrong!
Paddy is not in it for "what he can put on his cv", he is not a chancer and certainly not FAKE!

Out of every sabbatical officer in that union, paddy ryan is the most approachable by a long mark.

There were no rules broken and what duty has he not performed???
If your gonna make a statement at least has some evidence to back it up.

In regards to the government, yes they are attacking the students and paddy has been there at every fees demo which cant be said for all the sabbats.

Typical attitude of irish people, always looking for someone to blame. Its like the talk of recession, its getting old!

Hes not in it for the job but what he can put on his cv ..hes a chancer and is a very fake person ..pretentious and I was proved right .My friends disaggreed but i can see a chancer when i see one and he is one ...nice personality though .

If he broke the rules sack him ..hes on a salary from that union and if hes not preforming his duties then he should not be there .Let a person who has real ambition to improve things especially in the times we live in where the government is attacking the student body with education cutbacks .What kind of person gets a elected and uses a rubber duck in his campaign speeches .
